Visitors are welcome to visit a residents Villa and during restricted times at Golden View Care with the understanding that everyone respects the operational guidelines and rules to ensure that we do not contribute to the spread of the Covid-19 and to stay safe.

Lifestyle Village

  • Our Golden View Lodge is open to all residents and visitors.  If you need to visit the Lodge or see a staff member, please contact reception and organise a phone call or time on (03) 445 4210. All essential workers or contractors are allowed in but must follow our operational guidelines.
  • Maintain good hygiene. We have hand sanitiser at reception but please use basic hygiene measures including washing your hands and coughing and sneezing into your elbow.
  • Masks are not mandatory in the lodge but encouraged.
  • It is important that visitors do not come if they are unwell, please stay home.
  • Residents and visitors should practice physical distancing.
  • Communal village facilities will be open, as long as they can do so safely. This may change at different phases.
  • If residents are heading outside the village wearing a mask is also strongly encouraged at all times.

Please DO NOT VISIT if you are a household contact, have any symptoms (even very mild) or feel unwell in any way.

  • You no longer have to book your visits in advance, we just ask that you please come during our visiting hours.
  • All visits to be 30 min and 2 people per resident at a time.
  • Visiting hours Weekdays 10am to 11.30am, then 2pm to 4pm.
  • Weekends are 2pm – 4pm.
  • Exceptional circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the Care Manager and Clinical manager.

Upon arrival from Monday 23 May 2022:

  • All visitors, staff and contractors to Golden View Care must have taken and confirmed a negative RAT test at least 15mins prior to entering the facility (and taken on the same day as visiting).
  • If you choose not to take a RAT or PCR test you will not be permitted to enter the facility.
  • We have provided a seating area outside the main doors of the facility for those who haven’t tested to visit with a resident. We do ask that those people ring ahead so we can arrange to have the resident brought out to meet them.
  • Children who have taken a negative test are eligible to visit inside the building.  Those that have not are able to use our seating area outside to visit residents or call ahead for options.
  • At weekends please be aware our staff on the weekends are busy caring for our residents and may take some time to answer the door or the phone.  We ask for patience at this time.
  • Fill out the screening/tracking form.  This form will be signed by you and kept confidentially by Golden View Care.
  • Sanitise your hands and wear your mask at all times whilst in the facility, including in the resident’s room.
  • Maintain social distancing.
  • Please follow staff instructions.

This is of course subject to change at any time, and should we have a case amongst the staff or residents we will need to go into immediate lock down so please keep an eye on our website, facebook page and your inbox for any further updates.
